I’m speaking from what I have seen friends and family do while in their BSN programs. I know multiple people who were at parties/clubs every weekend of their time in nursing school and graduated with no issue. If I did that in medical school, I wouldn’t be in medical school for long. As a nurse I “ask nicely” for physicians to do things all the time (sometimes things that they should be doing but aren sometimes things they forgot, sometimes things they decided against but didn tell me about.) I also “ask nicely” to the schedulers, medical assistants, lab techs, etc. not because they aren more or less competent professionals, and I have to baby them, but because I want us to work together as a team and have each others backs so that the patient gets good care.
